Children of Alcoholics Week celebrates the recovery of children who have received the help they needed to recover from the effects of parental alcohol and drug addiction, and offers hope to those still suffering. The National Association for Children of Alcoholics encourages you to take part in grassroots efforts in your community to raise awareness that children of addiction can be encouraged and supported just knowing there are safe people who can help. SAMHSA supports these efforts by providing free resources and materials that will help assist community-based efforts.
