The Mountain West Addiction Technology Transfer Center (MWATTC) in partnership with Substance Abuse Mental Health Substance Abuse (SAMHSA)/Center for Substance Abuse Treatment’s (CSAT) Partners for Recovery (PFR) and Prairielands ATTC is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Leadership Institute (LI) for Native American Substance Use Disorders Professionals. The Mountain West ATTC staff developed curriculum for a pilot activity, Clinical Supervision Coaching Academy, based upon a structure similar to that of the Leadership Institute. The Coaching Academy began in October 2009 with a one and a half day advanced clinical supervision training for coaches/mentors followed by a three day “immersion training” for clinical supervision protégés in December 2009.
